for the Reproduction of Endangered Species (CRES) at the San Diego Zoo.
Description: We will have a behind-the-scenes tour of CRES. Formed
in 1975, CRES is home to more than 90 scientists dedicated to preserving
and protecting rare and endangered species and returning them to their
native environments. This behind the scenes look at CRES's operations will
show how they accomplish their mission.

Tour of University of San Diego Tech Center
Description: We will tour of University of San Diego Tech Center.
You've probably seen it taking shape for the past few years as you drove
down Interstate 8, now you have a chance to see the interior of this
50,000 sq ft facility that houses the University's Chemistry, Biology,
Physics, Marine and Environmental Sciences departments. We will tour
through the center and see some of the 78 state-of-the-art laboratories
and classrooms that will train San Diego's future scientists.

Directions: From the North: Use I-5 South, exit Sea World Dr. &
Tecolote Rd. and proceed left at stoplight toward Morena Blvd. Turn right
on Morena, left on Napa, and left on Linda Vista Rd. Travel to the first

East: Use I-8 West, exit at Morena Blvd., go right onto Linda Vista Rd.

their sage advice to others on how to get where they want to go. The
process of expelling the fictions of this process and replacing them with
facts will help to better women in their career choices and opportunities.

Description:
Find out about your own personality and how to work with other personality
types. Are you an introvert or an extrovert? How do you process
information and make decisions? Get the answers by taking the Myers Briggs

Cost & Rules: Test will cost $25 per person. Your RSVP with a
current email address must be received by Janice Payne no later than
October 28. Also your check made out to AWIS for $25 must be received at
the AWIS PO Box (AWIS San Diego P.O. Box 178096 San Diego, CA 92177) no
later than October 28. Those who meet these requirements will receive an
email link to take the Myers Briggs test online. You will have one week to
take the test. Results will be compiled and Ellen Kane will present an
interpretation of the results on November 18th.
