STRENGTHS of Joining AWIS:

• AWIS is a national organization with over seventy chapters, allowing continuity for members who are relocating and opportunities for a national network of women in science-related fields.
• AWIS-National is politically active and provides opportunities for members to be informed about, and active in, issues relevant to the status of women in the sciences.
• Membership to AWIS is affordable and easily accessible to women in all areas of science, including students.
• AWIS-SD provides networking opportunities through regularly scheduled events and by participation on active committees.
